Meet our guest: Taylor Wolfram, MS, RDN, LDN, is a private practice dietitian, health writer and consultant based in Chicago, Illinois. She has expertise in vegan nutrition, uses a Health At Every Size® approach and believes everyone has a right to body autonomy and respect.
As an ethical vegan of 11 years, I’ve been very outspoken about animal rights. The last 5 years is when I learned more and became more outspoken about weight stigma, diet culture, patriarchy and racism. I often share resources about each of these topics (and the intersection of them), write about them on my blog, and share content from fat activists and Black activists. I like to show that I am always learning and growing and welcome people to join me in widening our circle of compassion and using a consistent anti-oppression lens in our social justice work.
Due to COVID I’ve been seeing 100% of my clients virtually since the middle of March using a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. I’ve always offered virtual sessions and saw many of my clients that way, but since COVID, I’ve transitioned all my existing in-person clients to virtual and any new clients have been virtual as well. I’ve also become in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance. I was previously only private pay and had been wanting to accept insurance to become more accessible to a wider variety of people.
